We are working towards a circular economy: an economy without waste in which we design products circularly, utilize renewable raw materials and in which nature regenerates. Transitioning towards a circular economy contributes to a sustainable future. This requires major changes in government policy, company investments and consumer behaviour. &flux guides the transition to a fully circular economy, towards 2050 and beyond.

A fully circular economy will only succeed if we address the product chains in each sector. Therefore, &flux drives projects and collaborations across the entire sector, with a strong focus on ‘proof of concept’.

We aim to accelerate the transition towards a circular economy. With knowledge and expertise, we create insight into the challenge and translate vision into strategy and implementation schemes. With this, we hope to guide the successful installation of a circular system.
Strategic
How do you translate vision to strategy? We support and guide the process of decision-making by setting concrete goals.
How can municipalities enable change or give direction to the challenge at hand? What assessment frameworks are needed for the circular energy transition, the manufacturing industry and sustainable and resilient materials? And which (European) standards determine these frameworks? Ultimately, we need all aspects: from resource production to consumption to facilitate the transition towards a circular economy.
Tactical
To achieve your goal, you need to know which steps to take. A clear roadmap, for example, offers perspective.
At the tactical level, we look at the necessary strategy for a sectoral approach, an asset approach or co-creating within a certain product chain or cluster. For example, by clarifying big data sets across different sectors, draw up a proof of concept and ensure that the stakeholders want to actively participate in the not only the production but also implementation phase.
Operational
&flux is involved in the implementation of programmes on the ground to ensure actual impact.
And this implementation in turn impacts my organisation. Who helps me with ‘trailblazing’? How do I ensure that the (new) value case becomes clear? Where can I go for subsidies and permits? Can my teams be coached during implementation? We are happy to help you with these steps.

Our Impact
Circular Roadmap Sheet material
To achieve a fully circular economy, every sector will have to go through a transition. With our knowledge and expertise, we put the circular transition in motion. For example, we developed the Circular Roadmap Sheet material for Royal CBM, the trade association of the interior design and furniture industry.
The Circular Roadmap Sheet material describes the current supply chain for sheet material and its barriers to high-quality reuse. It also maps several routes that will lead the sector to more circular use of sheet material. &flux is happy to help with the next steps. How can we create a concrete plan for each of the routes? Can we build a coalition of collaborating partners that establishes process and performance agreements on sheet material reuse?
