Working to achieve climate-neutral greenhouse horticulture!

With our new project, we’re taking up the challenge of helping horticulturists achieve climate-neutral greenhouse horticulture by 2040. The aim of the project is to jointly realise a reduction of more than 100,000 tons of CO2 per year. This is comparable to the annual CO2 emissions of more than 31,000 households.

Every year, SUEZ converts 360,000 tons of non-recyclable waste into energy and raw materials, but there is still plenty of room for improvement. Residual flows such as heat and CO2 can be put to good use in greenhouse horticulture. Natural gas is currently used for the cultivation of fruit & vegetables, but SUEZ can also supply the heat and CO2 produced in this way. That way, residual flows are reused in an efficient way. http://bit.do/climate-neutral
